Creating a Project

KS / KS 3000U / KSa 3004U

Users can add Project to logically manage application workloads on IEC platform with EonKube management tool.

Prerequisites

  • Access to EonKube management tool.
  • Users should have the project permission within the cluster.

Procedure

  1. Go to EonKube > Cluster > Projects/Namespaces.
  2. Click Create Project.
  3. In the creation page, specify the following settings:
    • Name: Specify the name of the project
    • (Optional) Description: Provide more information for the new project.
    • Members: Define who can access the resource within the project, click Add to grant project permission to selected members with Member or some role (a sub-page pops, find the user by name and click Add, can be adjusted after project creation)
    • (Optional) Resource Quotas: click Add Resource to define project-level and namespace-level resource consumption limits of resource type such as CPU, memory, network service ports
    • (Optional) Container Default Resource Limit: define container-level resource consumption limits of CPU, memory and GPU
    • (Optional) Labels and Annotations: define label and annotations for the project
  4. Click Create.
Note:

The newly created projects will be displayed on Projects/Namespaces page only when namespace(s) are associated with the project.
